As you may be aware, the new General Data Protection Regulations became law on 25th May 2018. This law affects the way organisations, including Sports Clubs, collect, process and share data. This applies to data held on computers as well as data kept on paper.
The data held by Wickford Bowling Club are used solely for purposes in connection with the running of the Club and never for commercial use.
Examples of such use are as follows
. Names and Telephone Numbers of all members are listed in the Club’s fixture card which are given to all Club members and may be made available to other clubs or bowls organisations. They are updated annually
. Addresses of Club members may be made available to Club members. Those of Officers and other members holding positions in the Club may also be shown on the Club’s website and made available to other Bowls Clubs and organisations.
. Dates of birth are held within the Club for the purposes of applications for age related discounts on Season Tickets or for entry to age related bowls competitions.
